Election update:PDP thugs Burn Down IINEC office in Logo

  • As Suswam Produces 80 000 Votes for Anyiin alone
  • Yandev Amaabai on the run with Gboko Local Government Results

Baring last minute desperate moves by  Governor Gabriel Suswam to win the Benue North-East Senatorial District elections by all means, the governor has masterminded the burning down of the INEC office in Ugba, the head quarters of Logo Local Government.
The governor who personally brought in the election results of his area, Anyiin in Logo Local Government Area where he manipulated figures summing upto 80,000 votes for his party the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ),  is alleged to have ordered the burning of the office to hideously cover his tracks.
Meanwhile there are also attempts by the PDP to also burn down the INEC office in North Bank, Makurdi where the results of Makurdi North state constituency have become an issue of contention.
This is even as the desperate governor has asked thugs to cordone the premises of the INEC office for the Benue North-East Senatorial District in Katsina-Ala where he has been since threatening the Electoral Officer to accept the results brought in personally by him and in turn jettison those brought from field officers.
The plan as gathered by Blxg.blogspot.com is for the card readers to be burnt in the offices so that in an event that a bye election is ordered, they will not be used so as to make way for rigging and other malpractice And also prevent it'ssse in the next elections,
This is even as the joint task force for elections monitoring is in hot chase of a certain Gboko PDP chieftain,  Prince Yandev Amaabai who has hijacked the results for Gboko Local Government,  in company of thugs and mercenary military men. As at the time of filling this report,  the joint task force is in his pursuit.

Suswam, PDP in Plot to Manipulate Zone A Resultts

Gabriel Suswam
Plotting to rig even as he has lost to Barnabas Gemade
Reports have it that Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently deploying an intensive machinery to manipulate the results of yesterday's Presidential and National Assembly Elections in the Benue North East Senatorial District where results announced at the ward levels have indicated overwhelming victory for the All Progressives Congress, APC across the district.
Informing reaching blxg.blogspot.com indicates that the strategy includes preventing results from the wards from reaching collation centres at local government headquarters particularly in Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo as well as trying to induce and alter results already announced in the houses and other enclaves of PDP stalwarts across the district.
In cases where the strategy has failed every effort, according to reliable information received, is being made to use all means to ensure that the genuine results do no reach the Senatorial Collation Center in Katsina-Ala where the PDP state leader has relocated to personally supervise operations.
According to a respondent who spoke on account of anonymity, this is due to the massive rejection of the ruling party in the state in a largely free and fair exercise hence its resort to its rather well known illegal methods of winning at all costs.
In this vain, the All Progressives Congress ( APC ),  has urged its supporters to protect their votes through all legal means including accompanying election materials to their destinations and waiting there until results are officially announced, while Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials who have so far given a good account of themselves have been advised to reject all pecuniary methods to use them to subvert the will of the people.
In a release by the Ortom/Abonu Campaign Organisation has requested electorates to take measures to thwart the illegal PDP schemes.
Meanwhile results so far announced at ward levels across the seven local government areas of the district indicated the APC coasting home to a landslide in all the elections.
It further appreciated  the confidence reposed in it by the electorate which has expressed a steel determination to effect change and assured that every possible measure will be taken to protect their mandate and also ensure that every vote counts.

UNCOVERED! PDP PLANS TO DISRUPT ELECTIONS IN BENUE

Sen. David Mark
Faced with an imminent loss at the forthcoming general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP  leaders in Benue state have finalised plans to cause chaos in the state on the day of the election.

The strategy is targeted at disrupting electoral processes in Benue North-East and south senatorial districts where they hope to galvanise support for the party.

Senate President David Mark hails from Benue South while incumbent governor, Gabriel Suswam is from the Benue North East. Both are seeking re -elections.

While Sen Mark wants to return to the Senate for the fifth term, Gov Suswam wants a shot at the red chambers of the Nigerian Senate after his eight years of misrule in the state.

Only few days ago, Minister of Interior,  Comrade Abba Moro told the gathering of PDP leaders at a Town Hall meeting that the Benue South senatorial zone would make up 50 percent of votes to give the PDP victory at the forthcoming polls.

The party is alleged to have recruited and trained militia who they intend to use in Benue North-East and Benue south senatorial districts to disrupt elections to the benefit  of the PDP.

A few days ago, the militia from zone 'A' held a meeting that lasted several hours at a prominent hotel in Makurdi along David Mark bypass to fine tune their strategy ahead of the elections coming up this Saturday.

Reports today indicates that a similar meeting was held in Otukpo by another group of militia in Zone 'C' ostensibly to map out strategies for the sole purpose of returning the PDP or causing harm and violence thereby rendering the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct free, fair and credible elections a nullity.

Uncovered! Suswam's Wife, Commissioner connive to defraud Benue of N.5billion

Benue First Lady, Arc. Yemisi Suswam
Plotting to Fleece the state
With barely 69 days to the expiration of Gabriel Suswam's tenure as governor of Benue state, his wife, Arc Yemisi Suswam is alleged to have connived with the state commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Terfa Ihindan to defraud the state of nearly half a billion.

The governor's wife is discovered to have dubiously entered into a pact with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries to lease out the market to one of her companies, All Purpose Shelter Limited to be managed.

The Makurdi International Market which took more than six years to construct will be inaugurated Monday, March 23rd by the state governor. The market is estimated to have cost the Benue state government a whopping N4.9billion.
This deal includes a percentage for the sale of the 1500 market stalls on owner - occupier basis at 4 million naira would rake in N350 million for the outgoing governor's wife and her accomplice. Also, the management of the market complex which is to be on retainership basis if the deal subsists has been pegged at N80million annually.

According to findings, this  last minute craze to fleece the state was struck after the outgoing government failed in the bid to force commissioners and state government appointees to purchase the shops at the exorbitant rate of 20 million per shop  which was also to be handled by the same company. According to our source, the initial arrangement had failed due to the poor financial condition in the ministries, which starved the commissioners of funds from which to purchase these, compelling the government to change in tactics.

A government appointee who was also approached with the proposal, spoke to our reporter on account of anonymity,  and corroborated our findings saying, "I was approached by the first lady who summoned me to her office where I was asked to purchase a shop for my wife to do business at the new ultra modern market. When I protested that I did not have money for such an engagement, she grew furious asking me why I was a commissioner and also calling me an irresponsible husband. She then told me "daddy" had instructed that all of us acquired a shop and our ministries paid the down payment of 10 million while we settled the other half gradually".

Meanwhile, prior to the inauguration of the market, the ministry of commerce had already paid half of the money agreed to the company's account while testing other half will be paid next month. It is however alleged that the payment and the remainder is to be drawn from source at the joint account sitting.

It could  be recalled that All Purpose Shelter Limited,  was involved in a scandal where it built the controversial multi-billion naira Wuye Ultra-Modern Market with 2,000 shopping facility, built on 7.3 hectares of land. This is the only market in the whole of Wuye district, Abuja.  The commissioning of the market by President Goodluck Jonathan drew many condemnations from critics who felt the president who was cajoled by his wife was wrong to commission the project.

Speaking to newsmen at the conference hall of the market on Friday in Makurdi, the State’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Atoza, said the inauguration would be done by the governor on Monday.

The market has a total of 1,500 different category of shops whose prices ranged between N4m and N300,000.

Atoza said the market, which was fireproof, has a police post, banks, and catering services, was among the best in the country.

The commissioner said the market would generate income for both the entrepreneurs and the state as well as create employment for the youths and women.

He said the government did a technical evaluation of the shops and decided to sell them at such low prices to encourage the growth of local businesses, stressing that, “If we were to sell the shops according to their actual worth, each of the shops can go for nothing less than N20million, considering the cost of land, quality of building materials, the publicity, water, electricity and other facilities here in the market.

” But we decided to give them out at such prices to encourage the growth of our indigenous businesses, we deliberately avoided selling the shops in block for that same reason. We had offered to sell the whole market to single companies but we resisted the temptation and opted for this arrangement where individuals are buying units,” he said.

In addition, the commissioner said, the payment would be based on owner occupier to enable shop owners stagger payment over a period of five years, after an initial deposit. To confirm our fears, Atoza said the management of the market would be in the hands of private entrepreneurs in line with best practices to ensure profitability.

Gov Suswam abandons Tarzoor

With less 22 days left for the 2015 governorship elections, there are strong indications of deep cracks in the relationship between the outgoing governor of Benue state, Dr Gabriel Suswam and his stooge, Hon Terhemen Tarzoor over finances meant for the campaigns.

It was learnt that the Governor is no longer keen at aiding the success of Tarzoor's gubernatorial contest as he has starved the campaign of funds unlike what was obtained during Sen George Akume's time.

Unlike Sen Akume who took Suswam around and sponsored most of his campaign expenditure in 2007, Gov Suswam has abandoned Tarzoor to his fate. Those who claim to know insist that monies sent from the Presidency for the purpose of the governorship race has been hijacked by the governor thereby starving the PDP candidate of funds.

As we write,  Suswam do not take Tarzoor along for any of his senatorial campaign rallies in Benue North-East senatorial district. On Monday this week, while Suswam was busy combing Ukum local government from hamlet to hamlet for votes, the PDP Governorship candidate was seen driving around Makurdi,  the Benue state capital.

It was learnt that pained by this development,  Hon Tarzoor was said to have reached out to some powerful traditional rulers in the state as well as the Senate President,  Senator David Mark to intervene. But to the charger in of many, Suswam was said to have been angry with Tarzoor for daring to report him.

Meanwhile,  the senatorial ambition of Governor Suswam met a brick wall from angry youths in Sankera, Monday. The youths had gathered along the road side in Sankera and pretended to be PDP members. To the embarrassment of the governor and his entourage, as soon as they sighted the governor's convoy,  the youths raised up their brooms and began to shout 'Change.' Change'. Attempts by Prof Saint Gbilekaa,  Chief of Staff to the governor to persuade the Broom clutching youth fell on deaf ears.

The actions of the youths almost created an unsavoury scene between Prof Gbilekaa and the chairman of the PDP in the area. Gbilekaa was said to have angrily berated the chairman: "you have failed to do what I told you to do" to which the chairman retorted: "is it now to come and pretend that you care for us"?

Even when Prof Gbilekaa,  Hon Paul Biam and a host of other PDP Dignatories tried to pacify the angry youths with a bundle of 100 thousand naira, they declined do collect the money, insisting that the governor must not be allowed to campaign in Sankera area.

As  the embarrassment continued, Governor Suswam was furious therefore forced to proceed to Ayati where he later met with a handful of PDP supporters.

Suswam's Media Consultant Roots for APC

Cletus Akwaya
Media Consultant to the Benue Adviser governor,  Hon. Cletus Akwaya is currently running in parallel with the desire and decision of is boss and the party as he is currently alleged to be rooting for the All Progressives Congress ( APC ).
Akwaya who is also the Director in charge of media in the state gubernatorial campaign team was known to have recently at a gathering in his home town Tsar-Mbaduku, told the people to vote the APC candidatecontesting the House of Representatives for his constituency,  Hon. Herman Hembe.
According to our source who was present at the visit, said the former Special Adviser to Suswam on Media, told the people of Vandeikya to vote enmasse for Hembe to ensure the Vandeikya people lose the seat so as to ensure it returns yo Vandeikya after this dispensation.
This decision many have alleged is borne out of his loss of the party’s nomination to Hon. Abraham Hon,  who is now the flag bearer of the party.
According to our source Akwaya had confided in those gathered that since he believed to be th most suitable for the position and but denied the nomination,  working against Hon, will guarantee a return of the seat in 2019 when he will stand a better chance to grab it.
Akwaya whose closeness to Suswam is undoubted,  has also confided in those he has let his plans that the state governor is in support of the plan as a pointer to this, he says the governor has refused Hon any financial assistance.
