Suswam to Install Brother as Tor Sankera May 4

Despite the unconstitutional manner in which the bill for the creation of first class chiefs was signed into to law and its attendant protests, the Benue state governor, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam has finalised plans to install his elder brother, Chief Terkura Suswam Tingir as first class Chief on the 4th of May.

Five other political loyalists of the outgoing governor are also slated to benefit from the last minute gesture which has been widely condemned.

It was not clear as at the time of going to press but there are strong feelers that some concerned groups may be heading to court to challenge the action and stifle the governor's action.

According to our information pieced together, the plan has also been endorsed by the Chairman of the Benue Traditional Council, Orchivirigh Alfred Akawe Torkula,  the Tor Tiv IV.

Sources in the outgoing government confirmed that Suswam is bent on installing the first class chiefs to ensure that his elder brother, Dr. Terkura Suswam is made the Tor Sankera, one of the proposed traditional chiefs.

The appointment which has received general public condemnation is said to be a means of settling his brother and some of his loyalists whom he fears will be out of power if the next government comes in.

This decision is even as the in-coming governor,  Dr. Samuel Ortom had earlier last week warned against the installation of the proposed first class chiefs as well as the ongoing hurried employment of civil servants, citing poor economic status of the state.

It could be recalled that the proposal for the creation of first class chiefdoms had earlier drawn criticism from many quarters including his loyalists amongst whom were Prof. Iorwuese Hagher,  the Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) governorship Campaign organisation and Prof. Mvendaga Jibo who wrote protest letters to the the Benue State House of Assembly,  advising against the creation.

Suswam plans last minute recruitment

With less than five weeks to the end of his tenure, the outgoing governor of Benue s
tate, Dr Gabriel Suswam has embarked on massive recruitment of over 6000 applicants for the state civil service.

This is even as the state governmnet owes public servants salaries of over 6 months and pensions that have accrued to over 11 months.

But the governor-elect, Dr Samuel Ortom has warned the outgoing administration not recruit any new applicant into the state civil service that is already compiling handover notes.

Dr Suswam is also believed to have connived with the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia and the Chairman Benue Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS ), Mr. Gabriel Asen to fast forward the salaries of the already BIRS staff numbering about 2000, who have since been absorbed into the state service without pay to effect from February 2015.

This tactic by the governor is to plant a shaky start for the incoming administration.

The plan includes to absorb all the SURE - P staff who are over 3000 and also giving the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), management an order to recruit over 700 staff under the guise of replacements which has already begun in various ministries.

The new staff who will resume duties by May, are said to have their appointments back dated several months to cover for some financial loop holes in the government where some appropriated funds cannot be accounted for, making it necessary for a sub head to be created for these monies to be expended.

This arrangement is not restricted to the state civil service alone as the Local Government Service Commission ( LGSC), has also gotten the mandate to employ an undisclosed number of staff.

It will be recalled that since the inception of Governor Suswam's administration in 2007, there was an  embargo placed on employment  and any other recruitments, this even became stringent as there emerged a paucity of funds which led to months on non-payment of salaries.

Meanwhile, the governor-elect, Dr Samuel Ortom while addressing party leaders at a stakeholders meeting in Makurdi today at the Royal Choice Inn warned that any new recruitment carried out but the outgoing government after he was declared winner in the April 11 governorship polls will be reversed.

He reasoned that giving fresh appointments in the absence of unpaid salaries would amount to high insensitivity and will not be condoned.

Benue Workers to jettison Tuesday strike by Benue NLC

  • Call for Anchaver's resignation

Sequel to the announcement of an intended strike action planned by the Benue State Chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress ( NLC ), Benue workers under the aegis of Benue Aggrieved Workers have distanced themselves from the strike.
The workers who have labelled the strike as self serving,  in a press release signed by their leader Bar. Uhundu Emmanuel and made available to our reporter,  said the strike organised by Comr. Simon Anchaver was illegal and called on all Benue workers to boycott the strike action.
According to Bar. Uhundu, Anchaver had lost all constitutional and moral rights to call a strike or even lead the NLC having resigned and left for partisan politics and according to the constitution of the union had since ceased being even a member of the union.
"I wonder under what authority an Anchaver will summon labour in the state? He ceased being a member of the union the day he joined partisan politics to contest for governor. How then does a politician tell us what to dor? This is just another ploy hatched by him and his chief strategist the oldest union secretary in the state, Shimaor Joseph to get their last 30 pieces of silver before this administration bows out." He averred.
The aggrieved workers further stated that their major grouse with the strike action was the fact that "like all other industrial actions embarked upon during Anchaver's tenure, this was another scheme to get more money from the state government using the workers as bargai

EFCC dust up files on Wombo

News sources from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ),  have
Prince Solomon Wombo
Under Investigation by EFCC
informed that the Commission has dusted files in readiness to reopen the investigation into allegations of financial misappropriation levelled against the Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Solomon Wombo.
According to our source, with the coming of the new administration the commission is determined to pursue all abandoned cases before its take off to give it a new slate and focus of pursuit. This new drive is aimed at prosecuting all cases which investigations had been stalled for one reason or another.
Prince Solomon Wombo who was petitioned by a certain House of Representatives member from the state in 2013 for sleaze in the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, is said to be on the list of cases to be reawakened .
This reopening is even as through the years Wombo, through his boss who had strong ties in the commission has suppressed the investigation into matter,  will have to finally face the wrath of the law.
Already our source said the commission has already detailed personnel to Makurdi who will effect his arrest for questioning and assistance into the matter. He said this arrest was just a formal investigation which is intended to clear the issues surrounding misappropriation in which he is entangled.
He further added that the Commission has also received other petitions in which the special adviser was mentioned alongside other members of the Suswam cabinet including the finance commissioner, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia and the Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS ), Mr. Gabriel Asen.

Exposed! Real Reasons why INEC Office in Katsina-Ala was Burnt Down

Facts have emerged revealing the real cause of the arson at the Area office belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ),  in Katsina Ala early hours of the morning.
The inferno which burnt down the office is discovered to be the handiwork of the disgruntled out going governor who lost his bid to retire at the Senate, to Sen. Barnabas Gemade. This evil act was intended to destroy evidence as part of his plans to institute legal action against INEC and the eventual Victor.
It could be recalled that Suswam through his principal agent at the just concluded Senatorial Elections, Prince Solomon Wombo,  had alleged that they were rigged out of the elections and were heading to the appeals for justice and retrieval of their mandate.
According to him, INEC through the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC ), had compromised and in the event, cancelled polling units in Logo and Katsina-Ala Local Government Areas where he claimed they had won the elections.
However it is common knowledge that the polling units claimed to have been won by Suswam in Logo and Katsina-Ala Local Government Areas were places where he rigged with impunity as much as not allowing accreditation of voters thus the reason to burn down the INEC office to destroy evidence and in effect complicate the legal matter.
The Public Relations Officer of INEC in makurdi, Mr. Ochai has said the commission is yet to ascertain the real cause of the fire but averred that it would have probably been the work of desperate politicians whom they were yet to identify.
Unfortunately for Suswam and his co - travellers, Mr. Ochai said no sensitive materials were destroyed in the burnt down office as all sensitive materials as well as card readers were moved out of the office after the elections as such destroying the office was a futile effort if that was the intent.
This will be the third INEC office to be burnt in the course of the just concluded general elections. All three office are also situated in Benue North-East Senatorial District where the state governor,  Gabriel Suswam was in hot contest with Sen. Barnabas Gemade for the representation of the Senatorial District. While two of these are situated in Suswam's Federal Constituency of Sankera, the third is situated in Gemade's Jechira federal constituency.

Exposed! Why the BIRS, Local Government amendment Tax laws were Hurriedly passed

Gov. Suswam
Signed the bills to cover his financial sleaze
Just days to the Governorship and House of Assembly elections,  the Benue state governor, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam signed into law amendments to the laws governing the Benue Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS ) and the Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs amongst other bills.
This assent was even as the House of Assembly which was supposed to have sat upon and approved these before his assent had fought over them and even ended that seating in a stalemate nasty certain members especially of the opposition All Progressives Congress ( APC ) had walked out the sitting.
Fresh revelations have surfaced as to why these bills were signed into law even with the accompanying crisis that trailed their presentation on the floor of the house.
Sources within the BNHA, have revealed that these bills were rejected by the State Assembly because they were sneaked into the day's proceeding without reflecting them on the order paper sent to the members in preparatory for the sitting's deliberation.
Unfortunately it has been exposed that although the process was believed to be reason for the protest, further investigations have shown that the contents of the bills were the real reason for the protest and subsequent boycott.
Wombo and Oklobia
Major beneficiaries of the bills
According to our source,  the BIRS and Local Government ammendment bills had ulterior motives in the ammendments presented as they are meant to cover the financial under deals of the present administration which had involved itself in serious indicting sharp practices.
Major beneficiaries of these bills were the State Governor,  Gabriel Suswam,  Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Solomon Wombo, Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia, Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS ), Mr. Gabriel Asen who have greatly enmeshed themselves in financial complications.
According to our source, "the BIRS law was amended to transfer powers inherent in the Board and its Chairman as well as strip it of autonomy in a manner that will make funds accrued to the board an entitlement of the finance commissioner. With this all the monies the governor and Oklobia have been drawing weekly from there could be mentioned as money for bogus capital projects which have already began surface on paper and so written off".
Meanwhile the Chieftaincy and Local Government bill was to also benefit Prince Wombo,  Suswam and his elder brother, Terkur, who is intended to be a major beneficiary of the creation of extra first class chiefdoms.  According to information, the bill was made to hurriedly put in place transition committees headed by chairmen who will be voted large sums of money on paper while nothing goes to the council so as to cover for the unaccountable millions spent on the campaigns in the state by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ).  The money which was largely drawn by Solomon Wombo and Suswam from the joint Accounts,  has become a nightmare for the duo as the are scared what an incoming government may decide to do to them.
Our source further said it was the onus for Suswam's plea to Ortom to take care of him when he is out of office as there was still so much sleaze to cover up in the administration.

Paul Biam is after my life - INEC Collation officer

An Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ), collation officer in the just concluded general elections has appealed to the Inspector General of Police over an alleged threat to his life.
The collation officer , Dr. Aondoakaa Asambe has written a petition to the Inspector General alleging that the Majority leader of the Benue State House of Assembly,  Hon. Paul Biam is after his life.
According to the petition signed by his attorney, imperial Solicitors and advocates, whose copy was made available to our reporter, Dr. Asambe had turned down a bribe of Two Million Naira from Hon. Paul Biam on the day of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections which was given him by the majority leader to allow him manipulate the elections.
It further stated that when the complainant turned down the bribe, Hon. Biam had threatened to kill all the members of his family if he did not return results above the accredited number.
"That Hon. Paul Biam has vowed before him, to kill him and all the members of his family. Hon. Paul Biam's words are that he should accept the bribe of 2,000,000.00 and rig elections for him or he will kill him and all his family members". It read in part.
Dr. Asambe who had to relocate to makurdi for the final collation of the results due to violence,  has since gone with his family into hiding as he is being trailed by "a red Toyota Corolla car with four armed men who have been parading his house" since the elections.
Dr. Asambe and his attorney have called on the Inspector General of Police to investigate the matter to prevent a loss of lives and injury to him and his family.

More Trouble For Suswam

As Security demand for his and Oklobia's Passport
Gov. Suswam in fresh trouble
Indications are rife that the problems of the Benue State Governor,  Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam may be have compounded with the alleged recent signal for him to submit his international passport to stop him from fleeing the state before inauguration.
Also requested to submit his international passport is the state commissioner for Finance, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia,  who has since planned to embark on a medical trip to India.
According to our source, the state governor who has finalised plans to jet out of the country after losing his senate election to Sen. Barnabas Gemade, before the swearing-in ceremony which would have been conducted by the Speaker of the house, was demanded to hand over his passport to ensure he does not leave the country.
In a similar vein, the state commissioner for Finance, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia is also requested to shelve his planned medical trip till after the swearing-in ceremony.
It was reliably gathered that it was on the strength of this directive that governor Suswam had to cry out the Governor-elect on Tuesday to ensure he is taken care of by the new administration.
Already there is palpable fear in the governor's which also led to the yesterday's prayer session for him and his family.
Oklobia who has been fingered in all financial misappropriation linked to this government is also said to be jittery and afraid of a probe and subsequent indictment.

Ortom Promises Reconciliation

  • As he Hosts Former PDP governorship aspirants
Benue Governor elect, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, has disclosed that he would focus on reconciling the people of the state in the first 100 days of his administration.
He spoke when a group of five
former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirants visited him to congratulate him at his Makurdi residence.
Chief Dr Ortom stated that if the people were united they could do much more than if they went their separate ways.
The former Minister of State, Industry, Trade, and Investment said he would tap the talents of all the people of the state irrespective of ethnicity, political and religious affiliations in order to enable him propel it forward.
He said the aspirants were experienced and patriotic sons and daughters of the state who sought to offer quality service to the people and assured that he would rely on them to deliver on his mandate even as he pledged to promote excellence above sycophancy and mediocrity.
The Governor-elect stated that his doors remained open to the former aspirants who he said were free to offer suggestions about what could be open done as well as draw his attention if he went wrong.
Spokesman of the group, Mr Hingah Biem, while congratulating Chief Dr Ortom urged him to reconcile the people of the state, transform it for the better and intiate policies that would encourage the people particularly youths to respect constituted authority while serving as a positive role model.
He said the people of the state had spoken and that they had accepted their verdict and resolved to give him the needed support to enable him to succeed.
Dr Eugene Aliegba, Barrister Alex Adum, Engr. Ada Chenge, and Andy Uwouku, were together with Mr. Biem.
Later, Mr Akange Audu, who had also aspired to be governor on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, joined the group.

Senate Presidency: Akume As The Bride

By Dan Amor

Sen. George Akume
With the pendulum of the Nigerian intricate power calculus swinging in favour of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) following its victory in the March 28, 2015 Presidential and National Assembly polls, the question as to who and who would emerge as new leaders of the 8th Senate and the 8th House of Representatives, respectively, remains a matter for grave national concern. Intrigues, subterfuge, political horse trading, backstabbing, etcetera, are almost at breaking points. The scrambling has just begun, and yet tension is gathering momentum. Whoever emerges as the Senate President will ultimately become the Chairman of the 8th National Assembly Joint Session in a Presidential system of government in which the Legislature is at the epicentre of our democracy. The position is currently being occupied by Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Benue State in the North Central geo-political zone while the Speaker of the House of Representatives is Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal from Sokoto, North West, who only recently defected from PDP to APC.

For the exalted position of Senate President under the APC, a handful of notable political gladiators are jostling for attention. They include Senator Bukola Saraki, incumbent Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, from Kwara State in the North Central; Senator Danjuma Goje, former Governor of Gombe State, North East; Senator George Akume, currently Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Benue State, North Central; and, of course, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former Governor of Nasarawa State, North Central. All of these politicians served as State Governors for two terms, respectively, under PDP and are known to be very wealthy. What this means is that, having made so much money, these parliamentarians need power and influence. But a good number of them have odds against them. From their haunting past records of sleaze while in office and in their private businesses, their lack of decorum and accommodation, their extreme religious sentiments, to the zoning formula of their party, it is certain that the ambition of some of these politicians to preside over the 8th Senate would fall on the rocky ground.

According to analysts, the zero tolerance on corruption mantra of the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency as circulated during his presidential campaign is a progressive policy thrust which would ensure that only those with clean hands would go to equity. And so, given the alleged menacing cloud of sleaze still hanging over some of these gladiators, like the mystical Sword of Damocles, the APC would certainly prefer less corruption-infested elements to lead key positions. First, the party was alleged to have zoned the Senate Presidency position to the North Central and Speakership to the North East. This has narrowed the race for the Senate Presidency to the North Central. One is therefore inclined to assume that the three Distinguished Senators left to slug out the diadem are Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Dr. George Akume, all from North Central. Again, the policy formulators for the incoming administration must see to it that there is fairness in the distribution of key positions reflecting not only ethnic and geopolitical colouration of the country but also religious affiliations. Since Buhari, a Fulani Muslim from the North West has emerged the President with the glaring possibility of another Muslim from the North East emerging as Speaker, it is only fair for a Christian to head the 8th Senate under an APC-controlled Federal Government.

This, analysts believe, would tilt the balance in a multi-religious society like Nigeria. In the absence of an APC Christian Senator-elect from the South East or South South, and the zoning of the position to the North East, and given the fact that the other two contenders, Saraki and Adamu are Muslims, respectively, the odds favour Akume as the next Senate President. One other thing that gives every indication that Dr. Akume will emerge President of the 8th Senate is the way and manner he has helped in stabilizing the 7th Senate as the Senate Minority Leader. While maintaining a fierce radical ideological temperament of the opposition that he led in the Senate for several years, Akume helped in no mean measure in charting a new course for reviving progressive politics in Nigeria culminating in his party’s unprecedented victory in the March 28, 2015 Presidential and National Assembly elections. With his experience as a lawmaker who also doubles as leader of the opposition and stabilizing force in the 7th Senate, Akume, a former governor for eight eventful years, would offer creative ideas for tackling Nigeria’s toughest problems and a new governing philosophy anchored on opportunity, responsibility and community.

Akume is from Christian Tiv, about the fourth largest tribe in Nigeria cutting across four States in the North Central. This makes him a potential crowd puller in the North Central geopolitical zone. What affirms his popularity as a politician is the fact that he became the first governor to have completed two terms since the creation of Benue State and won straight to the Senate for eight years. Whereas his close rivals in the race for the Senate Presidency, Dr. Bukola Saraki has pending issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) in connection with the closure of Societe Generale Bank, and Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, another Fulani Muslim also has a running battle with the EFCC, so far no case has been established against Akume by either the EFCC or the ICPC. For a party like APC, which is determined to fight corruption, its yardstick for appointment and support for its members to key and sensitive positions must go beyond political patronage. Above all, Akume is a foundation member of APC , one of the leading lights of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the party which initiated the merger of various opposition parties to form the APC.

A very humble and loyal party man, Akume is an unrepentant patriot who is committed to the growth and development of the nation’s democracy. Since his defection from the PDP to the ACN four years ago, he has remained one of the leading opposition voices in a democracy in which being in the opposition is vilified. As a lawmaker whose legislative interests traverse Appropriation, Works, Police, Business and Rules, the strength of his contributions, the insights and rigour of his debates command attention. A veteran of many fierce battles in conditions in which parochial interests are staked against the national interest, he has decisively intervened in favour of the latter. For him, the overriding interest of the nation should not be sacrificed either on the altar of political expediency or in pursuit of narrow selfish agenda of the operators of the levers of power. With Akume in the saddle as President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under a progressive, liberal atmosphere, the country will experience a new lease of life.

Born on December 27, 1953, George Akume attended the prestigious premier University of Ibadan where he earned a Bachelors degree in Social Engineering and a Masters degree in Labour Relations. He rose to the position of Permanent Secretary before he retired into politics and subsequently won the 1999 governorship election in Benue State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and served for eight years. One of the few governors who made it to the Senate in the 2007 political dispensation, Akume is not given to the pomposity and arrogant posturing of those who advertise their class and the swagger of their patrician or aristocratic antecedents. He will surely play an enduring role in deepening the values of our democracy and indeed good governance, if given the chance to lead the 8th National Assembly given his academic background, his wealth of experience and patriotic fervour.

How Gun Men Snatched Ballot Boxes and Electoral Materials in Tombo Ward of Logo Local Government-Eyewitness Account

The PDP suffered a humiliating defeat in Tombo Council Ward of Logo LGA resulting in shooting and carting away of election results by PDP sponsored youths .
In my Genyi Polling Unit, Justin Terris Damsa, had mobilised us and we were ready to vote for our governor,  Dr. Ortom and we started voting accordingly.
Half way into the voting, Governor Suswam's elder brother came to the polling unit and tried to convince JTD not to "disgrace his brother" which was resisted.

Cephas Chihin drove back to Anyiin and a about 30 minutes later, gun wielding youths stormed the PU and carted away all the electoral materials and the INEC officials .

The youths who did not perpetrate this evil only in my polling unit,  were driving in two buses; a Sienna with the inscription Mbaniange Youth and a Hiace belonging to Anyiin Central Youth.

Efforts to also carry the APC  Agents with them were resisted through the intervention of Damsa who queried the reason for wanting to carry the APC agents even after taking the election materials.

It is such a shame that having served as governor for 8years, Suswam cannot win elections even in the 5 council wards of G/Tiev without rigging.

Election Update! One shot at Tarzoor's polling unit as Cult groups clash

One young man has been reported dead in North Bank Makurdi as rival cult groups clash at North Bank Ward II.
The incident which occurred after the PDP governorship candidate, Prince Terhemen Tarzoor,  shared the youngmen money after voting at his polling unit at ward II North bank.
It was gathered that in the course of sharing the money Tarzoor handed to his boys, there arose a deep argument as a group claimed ownership of the money as the governorship candidate is their member. In the ensuing argument guns were drawn and the victim who at the time of filling this report was rushed to the general hospital in north bank.

Election Alert! Another PDP Stalwart caught with 20 Card Readers

Even with the visit of the Chairman Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ),  Prof. Attahiru Jega to the state to warn of violence and electoral fraud, the Director of Media for the Terhemen Tarzoor campaign organisation,  Dr. Cletus Akwaya, was caught early hours of today with electoral materials,  mainly 20 Card reader machines and fake result sheets.

Akwaya who is also the media consultant to Dr. Gabriel Suswam was also found with large sums of money in the trunk of his car while driving to his home town in Mbadede, Vandeikya.

Akwaya who is known never to have won an election in his polling unit,  was apprehended by members of the joint vigilante formed by youths around koti yogh in vandeikya after unsuccessful efforts to bribe and intimidate them.

The card readers are believed to be part of the missing 200 card readers which were stolen during the Presidential elections in the state.

It could be recalled that during the last elections,  former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly,  Hon.  Margaret Icheen was caught with 40 card readers in Kwande where she planned to use them in rigging the elections.

Tarzoor on the Run

As Security agents place him on wanted list for cult related murder

If reports reaching blxg.blogspot.com is anything to go by then time and fate may
Terhemen Tarzoor
Wanted for cult related activity
have run out of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), candidate for tomorrow's election, Prince Terhemen Tarzoor,  as he has allegedly been declared wanted by the Benue State Commissioner of Police over complaints bordering on murder and cult related killing.
Tarzoor who at the time of filling this report is said to be hiding somewhere around Daudu to evade police arrest pending the elections which he believes if he wins will provide him immunity,  was yesterday mentioned in alleged murder and poisoning with acid three young men .
Two young men who were allegedly poisoned with acid after been thoroughly beaten, were discovered early hours of the morning by the entrance gates of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH). Unfortunately one of the victims,  was not dead and has given valuable information about the circumstances leading to the killing.
The survivor who could not talk due to the acid ingestion,  however was able to scribble down details and names connected to the act amongst which Prince Terhemen Tarzoor was mentioned as the mastermind of the act due to cult sect differences.
Sources close to the police authorities disclosed that there are frantic efforts to delay the arrest by senior PDP stalwarts.
It is worthy to note that prior to the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), cult groups in Benue State had threatened violence if Tarzoor was a given the party ticket. This is even as the cult groups in the state had gone to the length of printing and pasting posters dissuading the choice of Tarzoor.

Exclusive! How Suswam Plans To Rig Saturday Elections

The governor of Benue state, Dr Gabriel Suswam has finalised plans to rig the Saturday governorship elections in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate,  Hon Terhemen Tarzoor using the Ward and Local government collation agents.

Information pieced together by our correspondent reveals that each of the ward or local government collation agents willing to 'play ball' with the governor's middlemen for the electoral fraud would be paid half a million each.

Sources close to the governmnet house Makurdi reveals that a former member of the House of Representatives from the Tiv speaking area is coordinating the recruitment of pliable collation officers who would be ready to undermine the democratic process.

According to the source, as at the time of filing this report, "a sizeable number of ward and local government collation officers have been approached and the mouth watering offers of five hundred thousand naira presented to them. I don't know if those contacted have conceded to sale their conscience."

Our source disclosed that the PDP has also set up an information center where  those willing to cooperate, apart from the financial inducement, are given telephone numbers of some politicians that they will be using to call for emergency at the event that they are ununable to carry out the directive.
It's revealed that where the party is unable to win votes,  the 'military' will be brought in to kidnap the particular officer in a Rambo style.
Shortly after, the 'kidnapped' officer will then be released after they may have tempered with the figures.

Where the PDP are unable to rewrite the result in their favour,  they have been asked to call the telephone numbers of the erthswhile federal lawmaker who would either go personally or send to the scene, of the particular collation point with a supposedly military personnel and destroy the results sheets.
Secondly, some Electoral Officers in the 23 local government areas have been identified and offered huge sums to release the authentic result sheets to them.

Given the manner the PDP government had performed in the state in the last eight years, it was learnt the outgoing governor of Benue state, Suswam had declared that "winning this election is a matter of life and death" to him.
Our source further hinted that another meeting between the coordinator and collation officers is slated for Friday night to fine tune very detail.

Booming Broom Revolution and the Ortomic Renaissance in Benue.

The wave of defection from the PDP to the APC in Benue state has tactically eroded the probable chances of the party in the coming governorship election in the state. The state has never witnessed this kind of regression in a ruling party few days preceding a very crucial election before.

The organized and creative instability in the PDP instigated by the crude maladministration of the state by SUSWAM is on the verge of consuming the party and has been converted to great strength and advantage by the Ortom broom potentates and vassals.

The tattered and shredded umbrella has brought great benefits and opportunities to the broom revolution as the ‘broomers ‘ are set to expand at dizzying heights. The chaos in PDP outstrips any attempts at its possible redemption and it is offering the perfect environment for highly placed mandarins of the party to exit at great rate.

Most of the defections from the party are not even motivated by politics but by a desire to abbreviate Suswam’s political standing and career as well as make him pay dearly for his unfulfilled promises to them. Among this group of aggrieved adherents are the Akpereshi ,Akputu, Aondoakaa.  Akpereshi was one one of the celebrated leaders of the armed wing of the decaying Suswam political structure .

This backsliding of PDP brass hats outweighs the likelihood of any gain by the party in the coming governorship election in the state.

Politicians in TiV land are also baffled by the recklessness of Suswam whO the feel is a collective indictment of their ethnic group as most of them were his chorus men. To atone for their complicity, they have resolutely resolved to destroy the last vestiges of the Suswan legacies, his boy Terhemen Tarzoor.

These are the factors fueling the burgeoning support for Samuel Ortom of the APC .
Most annoyingly ,the people of the state views SUSWAM’S regime as the home to the largest and most dangerous criminal syndicate domiciled in any government house in central Nigeria.

ZONE C

In zone C the APC is putting the much needed efforts to counter the PDP calculations to harvest the usual block votes from the area. The APC is wrecking havoc at this myth as most of the facilitators of this winning votes in zone C have fled PDP. PDP has been practically buried in the Zone .

Another stronghold of PDP in zone C, Okpokwu council has been decimated by APC because of the menace of Abba Moro.Party members have fled the party because of the Moro scourge. It is only Abba and his inner coterie that constitute the party in the area.

ZONE A

The tumultuous politics of Zone A has already consumed the Kpatuma ui,Mr Gabriel Suswam as he was bloodied and mercilessly brutalized by the Organde Kpatuma ui,Sen.Gemade during the last senatorial election. Suswam’s criminally over bloated political ego was effectively hacked down by Gemade. Suswam’s support base continues to diminish and dwindle few days to the crucial governorship election .

It was unthinkable in the days of yore for his Logo kinsmen to contemplate opposition to his political views. But few hours ago his Logo kinsmen decamped en masse from PDP to APC. His people are more determined in hacking down his ego.

ZONE B

In zone B area of the state,Akume is the undisputed leader of the area and the APC leader in the state,it is a no go area for PDP.

They only viable option for PDP in this scenario is for SUSWAM and Tarzoor to start negotiating for a soft landing from Ortom.

The PDP and Tarzors problems are further compounded by Suswam’s inability to pay salaries arrears of eight months to teachers and civil servants in the state, tertiary institutions are on indefinite strike in an election period as well as the surging insecurity in Zone A.

This means more people will be drawn to the APC during the governorship election.
PDP’s coordinated attempts to fight this organized grand coalition against it through violence and mayhem still face insuperable problems due to subversion of the process of the payment of stipends to this hired hoodlums.Their allowances have been misappropriated in the usual suswam ideology; fraud.

Bye PDP; Bye Suswam; Sorry Tarzoor.  Congratulations Ortom.

Benue Guber: District Heads reject Tor Tiv's directive

In a fit of anger, District Heads in Tivland yesterday rose from a meeting with the Tor
Tor Tiv Alfred Akawe Torkula
Tiv, HRH Alfred Akawe Torkula  and vowed to resist attempts by the paramount ruler of the Tiv to coerce them into voting the PDP candidate in the April 11th governorship elections.

About N1.3million was shared to the 176 district heads with each going home with sum of N7,000.

The Tor Tiv had secretly invited the District Heads to further sell the candidature of Hon Terhemen Tarzoor, the PDP governorship candidate to the traditional rulers.

He however avoided extending the invitation to the 14 second class chiefs also known as the ' U Ter' who as gathered, do not subscribe to his political leaning.

There are 176 districts in the fourteen local government areas in the Tiv speaking are of Benue State.

Sources close to the meeting said the Tor Tiv told the district heads to go and work with the kindred heads and all their subjects to ensure that the PDP governorship candidate whom he said is his 'son' wins the forthcoming governorship election.

A traditional ruler who attended the meeting confided in us that "the Tor Tiv has continued to play a very dangerous role in the political equation in the state and this is not healthy to the unity of the components units of the state. How could the Tor Tiv select a candidate among his numerous children and say it's his preferred son" he asked angrily.

Asked what the general mood of his colleagues in the traditional council was after the Tor Tiv gave them the marching orders, the distrcit head, disclosed that "as custodians of our culture and values, i can tell you that majority of us are of the opinion that the Tiv people will follow the direction the entire country is headed. We can't be allowed to be swayed by clannish tendencies at this critical time when the nation is gravitating towards another."

PDP PROMISES FIRE AND BRIMSTONE IN BENUE ON APRIL 11

BY UKPOGHOL JABI

Gabriel Suswam
Threatens violence
The Peoples Democratic Party, Benue State is planning to unleash terror in order to make sure they cheat in the gubernatorial elections on 11 April, 2015. Arising from a meeting in Government House Makurdi, today, the PDP swear that they cannot be humiliated in the state the way they were humiliated in the presidential and NASS elections. The Governor of Benue Barr. Gabriel Suswam was part of the meeting.

In a similar vain they are calling for the removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Benue State Istifanus Dafwang. But why? The REC refused to forcefully announce Barr Suswam as the winner of Zone A senatorial election as Suswam demanded. Suswam even called Gov Jang to persuade the REC who is from Plateau State to impress on him to announce him (Suswam) as the winner, though he lost. As a show of desperate desperation, Suswam is now calling for the removal of the REC. But you should ask suswam the sins of this REC

They are also threatening to cause confusion in the APC concentrated areas to attract the cancellation of the results there by INEC.

PDP must be keenly watched and checkmated. They have caused untold hardship unto the people of Benue State. They have always boasted to emerge winners thinking it will be business as usual.

We must join hands to stop the antics of the Suswam led PDP. They have blood as other human beings and nobody will allow them to cause havoc and get away scot-free.

PDP PLANS TO MASSIVELY RIG BENUE GUBER AND ASSEMBLY POLLS

The Ortom/Abounu Governorship Campaign Organization yesterday, 2nd April, 2015, received reliable information that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has concluded plans to massively rig the April 11 governorship and state assembly polls in Benue State.
Impeccable Benue Government House sources disclosed that leader of the party in the state, Governor Gabriel Suswam, who lost last Saturday's Senatorial Election, held a meeting with his militia group called the Civilian Joint Task Force at Government House yesterday during which he gave them marching orders on how to rig the elections.
According to the sources Governor Suswam vowed to do everything within his power to avert another electoral defeat hence his resort to the services of the militia which he had recruited, trained, and equipped with sophisticated weapons under the pretext of raising resistance to incessant herdsmen attacks in the state.
The sources listed the kidnapping of APC stalwarts and supporters in order to prevent them from mobilizing further support for the party and voting, destruction of card readers, snatching of electoral materials before and after elections as well as burning of collation centres as part of the brief.
The Governor is reported to have been bitter particularly with card readers which he said were largely responsible for his defeat and directed the group to ensure that they were destroyed at all polling units in the next round of elections.
He is said to have instructed the militia to deploy overwhelming violence to prevent another APC victory and assured that he would give them all the needed logistic support and funding.
The Ortom / Abounu Governorship Campaign organization therefore appeals to security agencies to forestall the plans and prevent a breakdown of law and order in the state.
We also advise members of the militia group that the political ship has set sail leaving Dr Suswam behind and it is foolhardy for anyone to put his life at risk in the service of someone whose political sun has set no matter the inducement.
The electorate is also urged to be vigilant, prepared, and ready to resist intimidation and threats to undermine the electoral process by coming out in large numbers to overwhelm the attackers and exercise their civic responsibility.

EFCC SCARE! SUSWAM, OKLOBIA, WOMBO PLAN EXILE

Speaker may hand over to next governor
Gov. Gabriel Suswam
Scared of the EFCC
Information is rife that top government functionaries in Benue state are already jittery with the victory of Muhammadu Buhari in the just concluded polls as they are afraid they may be dragged to the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and have already perfected plans to go on exile.
This scare is even made plausible with the possibility of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) candidate's victory in the soon to be conducted governorship elections.  blxg.blogspot.com has gathered that the atmosphere in the state has indicated obvious showing that the APC may take the day by April 11.
Chief amongst those planning exile, is the state commissioner for Finance,  Mr. Omadachi Oklobia,  who is acclaimed to be at the centre of all the embezzlement by the present administration since its inception in 2007. He has been fingered to be the mastermind of all the fraud in the state.
Reports reaching us have it that the commissioner has since February refused to sign cheques for the withdrawal of monies for the state governor which was his erstwhile task. It was revealed that since 2007 Oklobia was signing cheques and withdrawing cash which was delivered to Suswam in cash at the government house.
Wombo and Oklobia
Failed in their gambles to install a governor
According to findings Oklobia who is a grade level 10 staff of the budget office Abuja has financially equipped himself in the range of millions, acquiring fleet of choice cars parked in his No 17 Missisipi Street residence Abuja, choice property around the nation,  and is already working modalities to travel abroad under the guise of medical exigencies.
To worsen his fate is the adjournment of the suit instituted by Bar. Emmanuel Jime against Ortom till after the elections as his hope of finding succour in a Jime led government has hit the rocks.
Oklobia who is Jime's brother - in-law is been playing a significant role in the legal tussle even as he did during Jime's days of aspiration. This was with the hope that his younger sister being Jime's wife will provide  for him and his boss, a soft landing.
Oklobia is however not alone in his plot to flee the state as his boss Governor Gabriel Suswam,  has already employed the services of an Abuja based, travel agency owned by a Sankera man from Ukum local government,  to process his holiday trip to a country in South America.
According to findings,  Suswam whose aides have since Tuesday been trying to sell the idea of a court case over his loss to Sen.  Barnabas Gemade,  is however not avers to the idea as he is aware of the futility of such an action which may delay his exit and put him at the mercy of the EFCC who have been giving him sleepless nights.
It is based on this that watchers believe that there might be an early handover as Suswam may decide to hand over to the speaker of the state house of assembly who will in turn perform the May 29th ceremony.
Meanwhile the Special Adviser to Suswam on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Solomon Wombo,  is another person touted to be in preparation mode for an early flight out of the state perchance his joker(Terhemen Tarzoor) does not scale through. It has been gathered on concrete authority that Wombo who has invested so much in the Terhemen Tarzoor campaign after loosing his gamble in Dr. Eugene Aliegba, is using the same travel agent as his boss to perfect his exile plan.
Wombo who is said to have sunk atleast 1.2 billion Naira in his twin desperate bids to install Suswam's successor through his personal assistant,  Mr. Job Tsegha,  who sits on the campaign boards of all the stooges (including Tarzoor's), was hoping to be appointed minister if his joker plays through but unfortunately with the change in tide, there are fears from his quarters that he may be heading to the gallows if he is unable to account for teachers' local government salaries which he has already sunk I not these projects.
